Mozilla a 10 ans.

Steal this film - part 2

[via TorrentFreak]
steal this feal II

  • I bought drupalfr.org in response to this. For those who don't read french, the site of Drupal French translation, needs hosting. I offered some space and I bought a couple of cheap domains as well. Drupal and its french community deserves it.
  • Red Hat has put the Videos of Redhat Summit online. 300 MB in total for the 3 theora files.
  • Good bye Ethereal, Welcome wireshark.

Student accused of trying to crash school's computer system

"UNIONTOWN -- A Stark County high school senior has been arrested and charged for allegedly trying to crash his school's computer system.
Police say the student, created a website which connected to the school's system.

When enough users logged on and hit the F5 button, it overloaded the school's system.
But, Lake High School caught-on before the system crashed. Its computers started slowing down.

"It's a crime and it is important we take this seriously ... especially for school officials ... it could have done a tremendous amount of damage," said Canton City Prosecutor Frank Fronchione."

You better delete those links to your school, university or company from your blog ... Otherwise you might be trying to DDos it ... or mention at the top of your blog: don't hit F5 to refresh this page !

    getting ready for oflinity

I am gonna be offline at home in about 2 weeks. the reasons are fairly obvious:
    (1) We are buying this house and as we don't really know how long the whole process will take, I prefer cutting it now so we don't lose two much money on this. Oh yeah because in case you don't know sollicitors are just bloody expensive and we need to put aside as much as possible.
(2)My current ISP sucks. You might know who it is from previous post but i am not mentionning them anymore. I pay for a unlimited service that has a limit.

Last day online will be 19th of this month, normally.
I should still be able to blog a bit from work though.

    One step forward ...

... towards browser compatibilty for tomdeb.org. I spent a couple of hours trying to make this site look a little bit more decent under IE. The thing is that there are some CSS attributes i really like - such as display: table , or min or max-width - and that IE doesn't support. Of course these attributes are defined as W3 standards and it's volontarily that Microsoft has decided not to comply with them.
Because I am not a professional Web developper and because I believe in the importance of fair standards , I don't want to spend to much time using javascript hacks just for some standard atributes. I'll recommend you to use a w3 compliant browser such as Safari, Konqueror, Opera or of course Mozilla Firefox to have a proper rendering of this website.
I took the same oportunity to create a very simple template for acidfree. I made it very simple, even too simple to be clear maybe!
